Well, today's the last day of the Five Fall Favorites... Maybe it's a little bit sad, but it really has been a fun week, hasn't it? But anyway, to wrap it up, we get to talk about the top five favorite books we've read this year! Even if it is kinda general, this is actually one of my favorite ones from this week. I read so many great books this year! My parents/grandparents gave me a Kindle for Christmas last year, and it came with three months of Kindle Unlimited, which I'd never had before. I ended up renewing that, and then there was this long battle of it being renewed when I thought I had canceled it because of all the steps to canceling it (is it only me who finds that confusing??), but point is, that all meant that I had Kindle Unlimited for like nine months! Which means I had a wide selection of books and authors to pick from. I think I read more this year than I have any other year of my life, and with having such a wide selection of books to pick from, they were all ones that I picked based on my personal interest. Which all means I read ALOT of good books! And if you can't tell, I'm excited to jump into this!! ( To make it more fun, I'm listing in them in the order that I read them this year). So let's do it! (Oh, and don't forget to head over to Kate's site for links to the other blogs and that fun giveaway! I do believe today is your last chance to enter, so do make sure you check that out!) There Was Always Laughter in Our House
The Accidental Cases of Emily Abott
Tales of Faith
Dylan's Story

As you may have been able to tell this week, this is one of my favorite genres (which means that it's extremely difficult to actually pick my top five favorites; I think this post is more like five of my top favorites :P). I've been reading historical fiction since like, I started reading books. It's fun to read about a time that you weren't alive for but still be able to experience it through a story. I'm excited to share these with y'all, so let's jump in! (And don't forget to go over to Once Upon an Ordinary to get links to the other participating blogs and a fun, fallish giveaway!) Jonas and Olivia"Fourteen-year-old Olivia Wilkerson is left desolate and grieving when her patriot father passes away. Directed by his will to be placed in the care of an old friend, Olivia is forced to venture away from all she’s ever known to make her new life among people who are strangers to her. Unaware of the new responsibility about to be thrust on him, Jonas Carmichael lives the life of a reclusive in an attempt to ignore the painful memories of the past. His heart has grown hard and bitter over the past thirty years of solitude, and his hatred towards people has only multiplied. Suddenly burdened with Olivia, Jonas’s only burning desire is to shove the girl off on somebody else. But Olivia, still suffering from her loss, is only looking for someone to love her as her father did--and soon realizes that there is more to Jonas than meets the eye. With the Revolutionary War pressing closer around Jonas’s secluded bubble of safety and threatening to burst it at any moment, Jonas discovers that there are choices to be made--choices that will not only affect himself but those around him as well." Doesn't that just sound good?? <3 Jonas and Olivia by Victoria Minks | Goodreads Triple Creek Ranch Series
